The next time you go to the supermarket, pick up some cheap furniture, and have it delivered to your door, you might be surprised to find it’s not made from reclaimed wood.
Instead, it’s made from recycled plastic, paper, or even just cardboard.
In fact, most of the furniture you see at the supermarket comes from discarded plastic.
But if you’ve got an empty shelf, the shelves are made of some recycled materials.

When you’re ready to put it to good use, you can also reuse some of these old-fashioned materials, or make your own.
You can find recycled plastic sheeting, or just cardboard, at the recycling centre Image Source: Thinkstock/The Independent To use a cardboard plate, you’ll need to cut out a small hole in it, and then wrap a plastic sheet around the plate, like a lid.
Now you can store your recycled cardboard in your kitchen, bedroom, or dining room.
I know it sounds like it’s a bad idea, but I like to make it for myself.
I put cardboard plates on a table and decorate it with photos of my kids, pets, and friends, and I’ll use it for a few years to make some nice, easy, and inexpensive gifts.
