The new Home Depot sign in Downtown Los Angeles is making a splash with a lot of fans, but a lot more is happening at the store.
The chain will be expanding into the area around the new store, with plans to add a second location in the future.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the store will be in the corner of a residential building in the new shopping center, and will include new merchandise and amenities.
A spokesman for the company told the paper that they are “currently in the process of designing a more modern design” for the location, but did not provide details on what it would entail.
The store also plans to install an additional “high-definition” sign in the area.
A spokeswoman for the retailer told The Wall St Journal that the new location will be on the first floor of the building, and that they will be opening a second store in the neighborhood.
The announcement came a few days after Home Depot announced plans to open a new store in Downtown LA.
That store is slated to open in early 2019.
